Prayers Needed

As has been stated on here, our forum families families have become very prolific recently.

Y'all know that the day after MJC's little Kyzer was born, that my daughter gave birth to my granddaughter Tori. Nothing wrong with the baby, but the whole family is having a tough time at the moment. My daughter's fiance and sister were hired by a new correctional facility that is opening soon in Wyoming. They start classes this Sunday. So two households were packed into one 26' truck, with my daughters' car on the toe dolly behind it.

They have had all kinds of problems with this move. The truck kept breaking down on them and finally had to be towed into a repair shop this morning. Even though they thought that it was repaired, 10 miles down the road, you guessed it. Kaput !! So back to the repair shop, where they had to send someone to go and get another 26 footer. The moving company put 4 employees to work unloading the original truck, and then reloading the new one. They have to have the truck back by Friday, and still have no clue where they are going to be staying, as they weren't able to find a rental before making the move.

I just ask that you all say a little prayer that the rest of their journey is uneventful and that they arrive safe and sound. And that soon after arrival, they find something that is big enough to hold 2 families and all their stuff so that they can get settled in and start this new phase of their lives.

UA, Prayers and well wishs going out for your daughter, fiance, baby Tori and the other family that they are soon settled in there new jobs and homes. Moving is not fun....Looking forward to your pictures.

They made it into Iowa, before finding out that the new truck is leaking tranny fluid.l So now it's a stop every so often to top off till they can get it into a repair shop. They are shooting for Nebraska before stopping for the night. Will get a text message from Bri that they made it that far, so that I can try to get some sleep tonight. She knows that I won't sleep till they are safe.

Thanks for all your prayers. I am hoping that by this time tomorrow night, they will at least be settled into a motel/hotel room somewhere close to their new home and can start looking for a permanent residence.

Prayers going up as I type. It's a darn shame that this truck trouble had to happen. I think that the rental company should make a large adjustment to thier bill for all of this. Please keep us posted.

One would think that they would. After all, they are paying out over $1500 for the truck and car dolley..5 day lease and this has put them 24 hours behind schedule. On top of that, there is the extra meals, hotel and other misc. now that they are having to furnish transmission fluid. And today they have to take it to a repair shop in NE to see why the tranny is leaking, putting them further behind. They were offered a mere $200 discount.

Bri is just lucky that there is no way I could get in my car and drive to meet them right now. She is on my naughty list right now as I never got a texdt or phone call last night like she promised. I was up till 3:30 waiting and finally just crashed and burned till the alarm went off at 6:15 this morning. It's now 7:30 and still nothing. I am going to give her another hour.. and then I am going to be on the phone tracking them down !!
