The only test I know of other than loss of reflexes is an EMG/NCV.

8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom.

RE: Well that was aweful
I will get a hold of my regular doctor and if there is a way to get it done in a days notice she will do it for me. She is truly a wonderful amazing doctor and I wish she was my WC doc. I went to her and told her what pain I was having and she set up a MRI for that day. If I ever need any test like that and tell her I need it asap she gets it done the moment it is possible Smile

Thank you AQA now I have some idea of what to ask her for.

Tired...maybe this is the Dr. you should stick with. That's how you make your decision as to which Dr. will be the treating Dr. The one who helps you. An EMG would be a great idea. You may have had nerve damage before the injections and that's what created so much pain. Also I would like to add that the hip pain you describe could be sciatica. Mine starts on the left very close to my hip that I can't tell the difference sometimes whereas the right side is dead center on my butt cheek. The muscle in your butt cheek gets inflamed and goes into spasm and then presses on the sciatic nerve and goes with some straight down the leg all the way to the foot causing horrendous pain. Seeing the spine specialist also wouldn't be a bad idea at this point to alert him as to the result of your injection. It may help him in his dx.

God is never late.

In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years.

The thing is this is my regular doctor outside of comp and the one I have to use my husband's coeverage to see. Don't I still have to see their doctor's to?

I have been told that I have sciatica and have the whole hip, leg, footpain and have since the injury the problem now is my hip hurts way more than it did before. The having nerve damage before the injection makes alot of sense. I was having pain and numbness in my right hip,leg also but that shot went fine. The left side however was way worse than the right since day one and it hurting the way it did with the injections hmmmmm that is something very possible.

RE: Well that was aweful
Tired...You need to decide who is treating you. So what you're saying is you are seeing the PTP for help and the PM Dr. because he/she is a WC Dr. ????? Am I understanding you?? In PA you MUST see an employers panel DR. for 90 days at which point you are free to see a DR. of your choice. So if they don't supply a list of DR. you go where you want. I think there is too much confusion with the 3 DR.s. Is your personal insurance paying for everything now? If so goto who is treating you and getting some answers. You do need another attorney. I'm curious as to why this firm dropped you. Limbo gave you great advice on how to proceed legally. What I see is that you need legal and medical help asap.

God is never late.

In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years.

RE: Well that was aweful
Cap I am sorry it is confusing i know. I have a PTP, spine specialist,PM doc and a ball and joint specialist all through WC. Then I have my reg doc through hubby's coverage that I see. In the beginning I was seeing my reg. doc because I was given a list for WC docs with all disconnected phone numbers. She is the one who got all my MRI's for me and even had me an appointment with a different PM doc. Well that is when WC IC finally stepped in and gave me a name and a good number of one of their docs. I went to see her and she said "i don't know what they expect me to do you already have your MRI's and everything that is nothin else I can do. That is when she made appointments for me with the WC PM doc and spine specialist, PT and later the ball and joint specialist. When I went to the spine specialist he said that I needed to go to my doc outside of WC and have her send me for a brain MRI to ruld out MS. So right now I am seeing reg. doc with hubby's ins. for things that spine specialist wanted me to have checked that are not WC related. It is a big ol' mess. I am calling the new attorney tomorrow and I am going to set up a appoinment to go talk to him in person and see what he says about my case and if he will take it or not. I am also going to take Limbo's advice the certified letter is going out tomorrow.

RE: Well that was aweful
My Regular doctor and my PTP through WC are both out of the office until next week so I called the PM doc that did the injections and was told to come in today to be looked at. I told them on the phone about how the pain had increased since the shot and they seemed very concerned. I get in there today and he ask me where the pain is and I tell him and then he ask if any of the meds he gave me are working. I told him that WC would not authorize them and that I was now going through a new pharmacy and would have them soon. That is when he got all shitty with me and said two of those are 4 dollar a month prescriptions and you are telling me that they would not approve them?! I told him that is what I was told but not to worry I would have the meds very soon. He told me that the meds he gave me (ultram, baclofen and doxepin) were all supposed to help with the injections that not taking them was the reason that the injection wasn't doing any good. He then said well if they are not approving the meds then they may not have approved the injections that I did on you I need to talk to my billing lady and then he left the room. He came back and said that his billing lady had already left for the day and he handed me some samples of 100mg ULTRAM ER and told me to take them. He never once examined me he didn't even touch me to check anything. How is he supposed to know what is going on without doing some kind of exam?
