Dipweed....It is good you have done your homework and the most important..is you feel good with the Dr that will be doing your surgery. I also chose my Dr. and till this day I still see him. I am so grateful that right after the surgery he knew that I had the RSD. I sent me to the Specialist. He never just put me in the back file..he continued to call and check on me. And always talked to me when I called. Even though there is no more he can do for me. I would go back to him is a minute..

Dipweed..I am sure you won't need a sling...you most likely will have your arm and shoulder very securely mobilizied so you can't use it..for awhile. Or at least that is the way mine was. I could only take it out to bathe or for PT.

As for cooking...you could make up alot dishes before hand and freeze them. Or just let your wife cook them and you talk her through how to do it. Wishing you the best.
