Starting physical therpy
I am still stuggling with strength issues of the left hand.

Carpal tunnel was early June and all went well, but I have not gained strength of this hand.

The surgeon did not send me to physical therapy, although I have been doing exercises on my own.

I am a little dangerous cooking in the kitchen and decided I better start physical therpy before I get hurt.

I do hope I only have to go a few times to therapy, but will keep an open mind.

Before surgery the doctor did say I have some muscle loss of this hand.

RE: Starting physical therpy
Thank you all.

I called the doctor's office Monday and talked to the surgeon's nurse and explained about the lack of strength of the hand.

The doctor has written an order for 4-6 wks of physical therapy, less if needed.

I selected to keep the carpal tunnel out of wc and paid for surgery myself and will pay for the physical therapy myself.

I badly need surgery of the other hand but need to regain the strength of this hand first.
