I'm sure we can find or get my dad to make two frames. If you need a big packing thing, you can always cut 2 pieces of cardboard larger than the pieces to be shipped, put the paintings between layers of newspaper, and tape both pieces of cardboard together using brown packing tape.
I mailed 2 Rolling Stones posters I had signed by the band like that, and the person who got them was very pleased with packing.

Ok...you go it...I am so glad that you liked them. I have not painted a sunflower in two years so I sort of brushed up on your two paintings.... They will be shipped out as soon as I can get to the post office. Would you prefer that I mail the canvas as they are, versus cutting of for matting and framing that way. If your dad is making the frames, he will most likely make the kind that you need the whole canvas for. Either way is fine with me, just let me know. Carol (red)

I would think that the canvas with the frame still attached to it would hold up better to shipping. The US post office can to some pretty horrible things to parcel post packages, and UPS... you don't even want to begin to manage what damages they can cause! My dad will likely be able to do a frame from just about anything, but with the frame sill in the canvas, it would be a much easier project for us... we may even make a light box for the one the wife chooses for the bedroom... maybe out of oak and brass

Wow...that sounds so nice. I don't see my paintings as being that pretty but I am glad that you do. This has been a lot of fun for me ...just painting for people that I care about is a lot of fun. Thank you for being who you are and than your wife also...she must be a wonderful lady. Carol (red)

Sorry that it has taken me so long to post on this. But this working girl has been busier than a one legged man in a butt kickin' contest and it isn't going to get better soon. Worked all week, and had a Dr's appointment Thursday after work. (Of course, my work week is Tuesday to Saturday, so today is actually my Friday).

I got home from work about 4 this afternoon, had to contend with my son on the way home via cell. Then when I got in the door, the boyfriend hit me with the news that one of his cousins had committed suicide. Although he acted as if it didn't bother him much, he is now sleeping. I think that is the best thing for him right now.

I got my sketti sauce all ready for supper tomorrow night (I always cook it 24 hrs in advance so the flavors can blend together). It's the only sketti that my 22 yr old daughter will eat. To bad that she won't be here to enjoy it with me.

Tomorrow, I am slated to go to a matinee with a friend here in town, and then she is taking me to Applebee's for a late dinner. Monday, we are slated to meet with our realtor to go over a few things in regards to some of the renovations that we are doing. Somewhere between all of this happening, I have to get to the other house and get some measurements and sketch out some floor plans for the new kitchen. However, I am in no way, shape or form an artist, so if anyone will be able to make heads or tails of what I draw, more power to them.

And sometime Monday afternoon/evening, I have to find time to get my clothes washed and things ready for the comeing work week !! ~LOL~ As they say, a woman's work is never done.

Now, after I have rambled on, I want to thank you for the picture that you are going to be sending me. It's going to look great in the new house, which actually happens to be an old house. Dates back to the early 1900's and is what is referred to as Arts and Crafts style architecture. Once I get the pic framed (and framed it will be as I want to preserve it under glass), I will find a place of honor to hang it in the house, and get a pic of it so that I can let you see.

Once agaon Carol, thank you so much. It means the world to me. You are a wonderful person !!

Angel, I think the picture I am sending you will work out very well in your style of home. You new home sounds just lovely. I am glad that you are happy with the picture. If anyone does not like it I can redo it. I explained to Spring today that I had completely stopped doing all crafts as of two years ago related to depression. Then I started on this forum and met all of you and began to come out of depression and started painting again. That was only 4 months ago. I am really rusty especially with sunflowers.
