Jayne Get some Toro ant dope, they will eat it carry it back to there nests and kill all, just be carefull to keep it away from animals and kids, but you will not have ants of any kind within 2 or 3 days. Just read the directions on the bottle, place drops on the cardboard squares that comes with the kit, place it in door jams, on counters etc and see them die. It is the best stuff I have ever used and really works.

RE: okla pissants
I know it's not environmentally friendly and if anything else were working I would never suggest it, but how about pouring gasoline down their house???? Of course that might just piss them off and then they would really move into yours Smile

Can you make arrangements to have it sprayed by a professional while you're on vacation?

Please click the link below to help provide food for homeless animals. It's free and only takes a second of your time! Thanks Smile

RE: okla pissants
Terro should be available at the local hardware store. It is in a little orange and white box, and comes with a bunch of little cardboard squares attached to the box. I have 3 cats so I have to be very careful where I place it. I like to put it behind the fridge and the stove in the kitchen. Behind the dresser in the bedrooms, and way way back under the sink in the bathroom. In the livng room it goes behind the TV stand. I also have made several outdoor refillable ant bait stations, but they sell prefilled ones too. Put them where you see them walking in a line.

If you need to make more squares use a cerial box or other cardboard with a shiny side so it won't soak in.

I can post more info about ant control as I think our MI pissants are becomming immune to the stuff.Sad

RE: okla pissants
I don,t know about other creepy crawlers, I was at a friends home in St Louis and she was over run with those ants, crawling all over her kitchen and on counter tops nothing worked, then we went to a pharmacy and got Tarro put it out on the counter and within 3 days all the ants were gone. We could see them climing all over the paper to get to it, and then they were just gone and did not come back, I have used it here at home and I had small and those large black ants and they are now gone Thank heavens, I hate those things getting into everything.

I will go and check out the package and see what it says.

OK it just says ants nothing else but it may kill other things.

Only the stuff that eats sweets, mostly ants.
Let me know what other creepy crawleys you have... if you have mice, especially little feild mice, a cat or two would solve the problem of those!

I am looking up methods of pest control, but the ants are always the HARDEST to get rid of, especially if you have a food supply of their liking (some little ants eat grease). Cockroaches are another TOUGH insect to get rid of also.

If worse comes to worse, a total fumigation takes aprox 24 hours, and will kill all insects you can and can not see. When the pros do it, you don't have a residue, because they use Carbon monoxide, not a chemical pesticide. House is safe after it's been aired out. After the fumigation, prevetative measures MUST be taken to keep them out.
