Shoul I get a Job?
After over 2 years with 2 surgeries, it's time to get schooling or get a job. I have no money for school and the insurance cut me off. Thier doctor looked at me for 3-5 min and said I could attempt to work. I am a union construction worker and my union will not send me out to a job with my lifting restrictions.
Should I find a job within my restictions or wait to fight the insurance at trial. My lawyer seems to think I should get a job and we will fight for the wage differance, but is this a good thing to do? |

RE: Shoul I get a Job?
work if you can it will help with your self esteem and getting out will help
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: Shoul I get a Job?
those who are out of work longer while disabled have a worse financial outcome. comp benefits do not make up for the amount of wages lost.
if you don't trust your atty you should consider switching. there will be a single fee that's shared. |

RE: Shoul I get a Job?
Look for a job wthin your restrictions. That is the best route if you are able. While you are looking for work, you are eligible for state unemployment benefits.
Let Go, and Let God...... |
