RE: October in August
It's been a very cool summer across much of the country.
Of course, the global warming crowd is blaming this cold year on, of course, global warming. We better do something to stop it before everyone freezes to death. My wife and I are actually hoping for a cooler than usual fall and winter this year. The one absolute we had when looking for a new home was that it had a fireplace (a rarity in Florida). Now that we have a home with a fireplace, we figure we'll have unprecedented heat all winter long. |

RE: October in August
And cozy too........ Nothing like a fire , a glass of wine or?, and a loved one to cuddle with....... Enjoy your fireplace.
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain. |

RE: October in August
I wish we could get some cooler weather here. But not the COOOLLLDDD stuff, lol. It has cooled off to the mid 90's this past week, but is still higher than normal. We only had a few sprinkles of rain over the last month. My poor grass is surviving in some places but is brown or non-existing in most of the other areas, and this is with using the sprinklers. I'm just glad that I have the swamp cooler to keep the inside reasonable. I think that I like spring and fall, but not winter and summer. Hope everybody gets the weather they want or need soon.
