A tribute to our forum caregivers.......
Today I was thinking about my life and all my recent events, as now I am feeling better, and my memory from day to day is better (still no recall for that one week), and I thought about people who I know care for each of us on a daily basis and go un noticed all the time. There are three that stand out to me, but there are many more who have given the care to one or another of us when we were in some sort of need.
The first one, I am not going to name, but he or she will know who he or she is when I describe her. This person quietly will do sweet things for people all the time during a crisis in their life. He or She will send flowers, or certificates to buy a restuarant dinner, or have something delievered to the person in need's home. He or She loves and supports secret santa with all of his or her heart. I can't say who he or she is but I know he or she knows who I am talking about. He or She most likely doesn't even know I know as much as I do about her kindness towards others. She just silently makes other people feel appreciated, loved, and cared about. My heart is filled with love for him or her. How can I not? She is a true caregiver in every sense of the word. The second person is sweet tooth. She is quiet on the board but always near when in need for prayer. She doesn't always advertise her good works or does not even recognize the blessing she is to others to just be in her company. I can say this because I have been in her company a couple of times and I can feel the sweet spirit of love that shines through her. Her laughter fills the air and her face radiates the goodness of our father in heaven. Sweet tooth, thank you so much for just being you for being with us on this forum. I dislike the reason you are here, but as you know "all things work to the good of those who love God," and I know you do. You will know in the end. The third and the inspiration for writing this is out troubled forum child jayne. When I first came on this forum, I was not quite sure about jayne, in terms of who she was or what she was about. However, that quickly changed when we all met in Tulsa and one evening (Bummer Knees and Sweet tooth will remember this) after I had been painting continuously for several hours, jayne stood up, took controll and said, "ok young lady, you and I are taking a walk," I stood up and she allow me to lay my head on her waist (she is too tall for me to reach her shoulder) and she walked me to my room and put me to bed for some much needed rest. Honestly I have to admit she is most likely the only person that I have ever met in my life that could get away with that except my husband Del. lol..... the other thing to know about jayne is that I would almost bet that there is not one person on this forum that she has not reached out to even in her time of need. She is unrelentless in her love of people especially the people on this forum. She may like to give admin a hard time but that is all in fun and games and I know that he knows it as does she because her admiration for this man goes beyound anything that you or I could imagine. I have seen her lie down with Still when he was hurting so badly and telling him that all will be ok. I have seen her give to her church because she is so very proud of the work that they do and the support they gave her during her time of need. We have all seen her reach out to many on this forum from the new ones to the old ones who have not been around for awhile. I have spoke to jayne on the phone many times, and I have had the honor of having her and her family in my home and I have never heard her say a not nice word about anyone. She always has something to say that is positive even during the times that she doesn't agree with a particular situation. I know that recently, or at least she and my mother have told me that she must have called me at least 2-3 times aday during my memory loss and during a very difficult time for me. What amazes me is that her daughter Becca who she would lay down and die for was in crisis herself and in a hospital and she still did not for get to care for us or me. jayne is a caregiver in everyway in my mind. To my unknown caregiver, thank you so much for being YOU. The forum thanks you also. I love you our silent caregiver. to my Sweet tooth...thanks for caring and for always being there...you are a prayer warrior thank you and I love you. jayne what can I say, but you are the best of the best, and I love you dearly .... that will not and can never change... thanks so much for all your love and your support...... These three are the epitome of caring in my mind.... I know you have all had experieces with them all.... now is your chance to tell them how much their small seeds may have grown in your life and blessed you and helped.... love you all Red Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind. |

RE: A tribute to our forum caregivers.......
Red,
This is a beautiful tribute. Glad to hear you are doing better. Sorry I missed your phone call the other day but I did listen to your beautiful message. I tried to call you yesterday on your house phone and it must be disconnected but I did not try your cell phone. I am so sorry that I was not here that day to talk to you. In fact I was with my friend Cindy as her brother passed away Friday and I was with here everyday last week helping her with him. God bless his soul he suffered and fought until the very end. He sure was not ready to give up but God finally took him home. I guess you and Dell along with your parents are getting ready to head to Oregon. Try to call me if you can before you actually leave. Take good care of yourself my dear friend and be in touch with me. My love to you and Dell.
