Chest Twitches
The last couple of days I have been having twitches in the chest, left side. When I lean foreword the twitches increase.

And sometimes I have trouble getting a good breathe, I have mild asthma.

This morning I saw an increase in the twitches for a few hours.
It was very uncomfortable.

I did call my doctor and the first earliest appointment is Monday morning. The office did tell me if it gets to be more then I can handle to go to the hospital.

I've never had heart problems and went thru testing previous to the replacement last year, and all was okay.

Course I do not like hospitals and only will go if I have to.

Has anyone had these symptoms?

RE: Chest Twitches
Bummer, Sounds like heart palpatations, could be from stress etc, and they come and go. If in doubt go to the ER..........

RE: Chest Twitches
Thanks Tuffy.

As much as I do not like hospitals, if it gets to bad I will go to ER.

With my kiddos and their special needs my home is full of stress.

Haven't gotten much sleep the last couple of nights and not very alert this evening.

RE: Chest Twitches
Hey BK,

do not hesitate to go to ER if you believe something bad is wrong.....but, (this is my personal experience) heart palps are usually felt in the center of the chest, just to the left of your sternum. This is the same area I experienced pain w/ angina, along with the arm and jaw. On occasion the palps are so hard they will catch your breath away and make you cough...is this whats going on?

Hopefully you are simply experiencing muscle spasms...but get ck'd out to be safe, as MD, I AM NOT!!

Good luck, Lilly

RE: Chest Twitches
Lilli

It is more on the left side of the chest.

It is very painful to touch the skin with my fingers.

I did some searches and found info on trigger points, I do hope this is muscle spasms.

I do have problems with the mid back as this is where the tumor is located, lots of spasms, sometimes it is painful to breathe and can't swallow food.

Not having many problems today but if it picks up I will not mess around and go to ER.

RE: Chest Twitches
Bummer, with Upper Extremity (left sided) I get muscle spasms everywhere. They scared me as first thinking they were heart palps but myd doctor assured me they were spasms. Also, when you lean forward you will naturally have a sense of loss of breathe. If it bothers you, try your inhaler. Maybe you are overdoing it with your physical activity. I know with me, I have to pace myself and can only do so much each day.

But, when in doubt, go to the ER.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

Let Go, and Let God......

RE: Chest Twitches
Thank you Chris, Jayne & Still In Limbo

I have an appointment with my doctor Monday morning.

I am better today but will go to ER if needed.

I have been under lots of stress lately, and not sleeping well due to the burning pain on the right side.

And I do wonder if stress & the lack of sleep has anything to do with what is going on.
