RE: In Honor Of Our Kids and GrandKids Going Back To School.
Schools in my city started on Aug.7th......the earliest in the entire state. They say it is because of time lost during the 2 hurricanes, Gustav and Ike last year cause both of them hit us. By starting early this allows them more days available to make up time lost in case we get hurricanes this year. This way they can still get out of school in May.

The little jokes were very cute and made me laugh. There are a couple in there that could be my favorites. Lord, so glad I have been done with school since the year 2000. Thank the good lord. Love y'all!

RE: In Honor Of Our Kids and GrandKids Going Back To School.
My oldest grandson (4) starts pre-school here tomorrow, he will be there from 8:30am till 12:00 pm. This is a new thing for my daughter and her family. We are all wondering how he'll handle it. I keep them when the parents work, and also wonder how well he'll do without his sister's. I remember when my daughter was still in school, I think I worried more about her when she got into high school, lol.
Good luck to all the students for a good school year.

RE: In Honor Of Our Kids and GrandKids Going Back To School.
Bummer,
I hope so, his mom was told that on the first day, a parent can stay and observe what goes on, as well as how thier child reacts. We're a bit concerned because when it is time to pick him up from the school, they'll be playing on the playground. He throws a fit now when we want to leave the park, or playground.

On the days that I'll be picking him up, I will have the three younger children with me. She figures that if he's has a fit, that one of the teachers or helpers will help get him to my van, lol. I'm going to put the youngest into a small stroller, and the girls walk beside me real well, so I think it should work out ok.I hope, lol.
Love
Vickie
