Update on wc and auto

RE: Update on wc and auto
I forgot to update on the wc.

The hearing was in April to add the back & carpal tunnel to the claim, and request additional treatment for the right knee.

The judge had 5 days to make a decision and one hasn't been made yet.

Earlier this summer the judge went one medical leave for a knee replacement.

No one took over the judge's work load, so I and others have been waiting all this time for a decision to be made.

I learned this week that a judge will come from Topeka to take over my judge's cases.

Also learned the judge I had may retire, that's what the attorneys are hoping for.

My medical has changes since April, don't know how to approach the change.
I was asking for addition treatment for the right knee, medical evidence now shows I need a knee replacement. And the nerve pain (burning) has increased in the right leg along with the low back pain. My doctor is starting me back on neurotin, and may be adding other pain meds at the next visit.

Bummer Knees

RE: Update on wc and auto
When the New Judge Arrives, ask Your Attorney to Add these New Requests to the Original Request. The Ins. Co, May want another IME, or FCE to See how bad They Feel the Changes are, You know they won't just go with what Our Dr.'s Say, that would be too Close to Normal!!Wink

RE: Update on wc and auto
Thank you Still In Limbo.

The old judge orderd an IME in March, that doctor says treatment of the back is needed, along with additional treatment of the right knee.

The doctor the insurance company sent me to also says the back is related.

Should my attorney request a hearing to present new evidence, would this be the correct direction to go?

My doctor (osteopath) is the one saying knee replacement, but he has been on target on everything the ortho surgeon has said with the past injuries.

RE: Update on wc and auto
Had an appointment with the attorney today, and things may get moving with the wc case.

The temporary judge is here to take over the cases (this includes mine) of the previous judge out on medical leave.

My attorney will schedule a hearing because there is new medical evidence of the right knee.

Thank you Still In Limbo I would not have made this appointment if not for your advice.

My attorney got to see me on a high pain & lack of sleep day. One of those hard to think days.

RE: Update on wc and auto
After reading the thread about the $100.00 I thought I would post a piece of information my attorney shared with me erlier this week.

He told me now the demand letter has been sent on the settlement, not to be suprised if I am followed or watched.

I don't really know if this is common but this insurance company we are dealing with is a difficult one.

RE: Update on wc and auto
The attorney told me the insurance company has 30 days to respond to the demand letter for settlement on the auto accident, this is on the neck injury.

I see the primary doctor next week and will request a referral to specialist on the neck. My primary doctor says surgery is in the future but I would like to hear what a specialist has to say.

I have the same attorney for wc and he told me he has scheduled a hearing to get my case moving.

Bummer Knees it is VERY VERY common. As long as you are truthful about everything you have nothing to worry about. Don't let them jerk you around!!!!!
