RE: SON'S INJURIES
Settlement means, The END. That is one way of looking at it. Each state has thier own way of dealing with it. A settlement usually contains monitary benifits and no future medical. A settlement is a closing of a claim in most cases.

Take Care

8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom.

As AQA said, it's usually the end of the road for the claim. As for the medical it varies from state to state, here in Ala. All claims have open meds. Some states open meds is optional and your attorney would have to get that put in the settlement, and I'm guessing some states don't allow open meds. Hope that helps

DOI-Jan 2009. Bulging discs at L4, L5, L5-S1 putting pressure on nerve. Also have tear in tissue at same location. Also told I have Degenerative disc disease in that same location as well as in my neck and thoracic spine although those are unrelated to the injury according to the doctors.

RE: SON'S INJURIES
Well my son got letter yesterday from his lawyer. wc is ready to settle and its for $500. What an insult to my son and his lawyer. That would barely pay his lawyer. So guess now its a waiting game. Theres no reason he can't get the help he needs, all he wants is to get help with his neck pain. lts really frustrating.

Injured worker, & tired of it all! I'm too old for games!!

RE: SON'S INJURIES
they know you won't settle for that amount either.
the point of a low offer or a high demand is the same:
to get you change your expectation and what you are willing to accept.
when you are in the legal system, it's a negotiation and the opening offer is just one step in the process.
that's how attys work.
