I'm sorry that I was'nt here over the weekend to add her to my prayer list. I added your mom to my list now, you've been on it for a very long time. I hope she gets well soon without the complications to her kidneys or any other organ. I'm here if you ever feel like talking, just give me a call. Love Vickie |

Update,
Mom is doing a little better today, was given 2 units of blood, is on antibiotics, and about 3 other IVs she has a central line ( just in case) There has been some improvement in her kidney output so hopefully won't need dialysis. she is confused on the pain meds, (was going shopping for bath towels) getting owly, I am the bad guy, why did she have to have surgery etc, and is mad at the nurses because they got her up in a chair late this afternoon. She is still in alot of pain but her color looks better and we are hopeful she will have a full recovery. A few more days will tell the tale. Tuffy Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain. |

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone.You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life,you have come out ahead of the game.....

Failed Back Surgery, Chronic Pain, Totally Disabled. Knowledge is Power, Especially in the World of w/c. Learn as Much as You can about Your States w/c Laws, and don't Fight Battles alone, They Use Attorney's, and so Should You!! |

Thanks everyone for your kind words, prayers and thoughts. They have pulled my mom through a tough time. Now that she is through the roughest part, I am going to follow through with my plans and make my trip to Iowa and my son's. My sisters are going to hold down the fort. but I will be in close touch and if needed can make it home in a couple of hours. I was going to cancell my plans but sisters said go, we are here.
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain. |

I'm glad you are still going to go on your trip girl. Let the sisters take over for a bit and as you said if needed you aren't that far away. I'm so glad to hear that she is doing better. Still saying lots of prayers for you and your family.
