supplemental earnings benefit
[u]Louisiana.....I received a letter from the insurance today(8-3) that said my physician released me to return to work with restrictions.....restrictions are such that you may be unable to earn 90% ot the wages You were earning at the time of injury.,and status has changed to that of supplemental earnings benefit.Injury that we are talking about ....carpel tunnel in both hands and surgery in rt.hand only. Here is the question?I think. About 2 weeks ago I went to the doc and found out that I have cubital tunnel in my left hand that is numb as hell...opps.and I have been waiting on the insurance company to tell the doc can they run the tests, etc. meanwhile it feels like the pinky finger side and risk are dead. Can someone enlighten me on 1)seb and 2)will workmans comp entertain this cubital tunnel am in great pain as this numbness is non stop.

RE: supplemental earnings benefit
Supplemental earnings benefits are paid when an employee is able to work, but is unable to earn 90% or more of his pre-injury wages as a result of a job related accident. As an injured worker, you must notify your employer or insurer of the earning of any wages, changes in employment or medical status, receipt of unemployment benefits, receipt of social security benefits and receipt of retirement benefits. If you receive benefits for more than 30 days, you will be required to certify your earnings to your insurer quarterly.
