Just thought I'd share some of what is going on, hope no one minds to much.

I'm still in Cali. Many things have gone wrong and I'm not going to say it can't get any worse cause everytime I do I'm proven wrong, LOL!

I was supposed to be leaving tomorrow (well today now I guess, lol) but blew the front transmission seal on my truck last week. The tranny is now sitting in my garage while my lonely truck is sitting in the driveway. My BF will hopefully be able to fix some other problems with it next week after we get the parts...they have to be ordered online.

The 5th wheel (RV thingie) is coming along. I think I only need an itty bitty water heater at this point and a few small things for it. My BF got the roof A/C blower working so now we're hoping it just needs to be charged with freon and then I can take the A/C unit I bought for it back and use that money for tires for my car....everytime one major thing gets fixed something else happens, but life goes on and we make the best of it ....Oh yeah I still need to finish repairing the roof!

My social security disability hearing is scheduled for mid September so it's looking like I will stay here long enough to make that appointment since I've been waiting on it for 1.5 years. They seem to think it will finally be approved and that would be wonderful if it does.

All in all I am trying to remain positive. I have given up on making a plan (not being a pessimist, just rolling with the flow now, LOL). Although I am not sitting back waiting for the big guy in the sky to take care of things I am trying to quit stressing over things that are out of my control and just deal with them as they come.

I have good days and bad days but I think the good are now outnumbering the bad which is nice.

Monster I learned years ago everything in this life happens for a reason.
Somethimes it is difficult to understand the why.

All Any of Us can do is Handle One Day at a Time, and One Situation at a Time, any More than That and the "Ol Stress Starts! Keep Plugging on My Friend, when it's Time for You to make the Move to Texas I'm Sure it will be Uneventful, because You are getting Very Prepared Before You go!! As Always My Best!! Wink

Monster we wish you luck and hope everything turns out in the end. Our day to day fight with everything sucks. I'm feeling so depressed this morning so typing here helps but I may not be always saying the best thing. But I do wish you the best, that I know is right. Smile

I know how frustrating it is when you think you'll be leaving at a certain time and you have to wait. I'm sure you'll do fine. It could be a blessing in disguise, these vehicle problems happened now and not after you got on the road. I wish you the best, just have faith and hang in there, the time will come sooner than you think.

Hi Monster,
Thank you for updating us. I'm happy you are trying to not stress out. I agree with the others, take one day at a time. Things happen for a reason, and you most definitely are a survivor.

Will pray your SSDI appt. goes well. Take care, and you know we are here if you need us.

Thank you all for your replies and prayers. I'm doing well, trying to stay busy when the pain allows. When it gets bad I just lay down for a bit and try to start over later.

I'm basically happy, hope no one thought I was complaining. I'm loving my little RV, I really think it's going to be fun and it's close to being done. Now if my darn truck will cooperate at some point life will be grand, LMAO Smile

monster... sorry I missed this thread...of course as you can see above, we all want to know how you are doing? I am going to keep my fingers crossed that all goes well at this SSDI hearing... that would be great if it could all work out the way it should. Sorry to hear about your truck... but I know you will get it fixed the way you want it... miss you Red
