Workman Comp

I had carpal tunnel surgery was off work and workman comp paid. I went back to work and couldn't do the work and was put back on light duty and of course employer can not accomodate light duty. Workman comp did not pick me back up. I do have a lawyer. But since this is going on im loosing my home and everything. I can't get no income from anywhere. I just don't understand why workman comp did not pick me back up. Maybe because my boss is in the Womens republican party thing. Which i know don't help at bit. It is wrong for them to treat people this way. Since ive been off i have found more problems. buldging disk in neck and lower back, Multi level facet joints. I have been taking epeidural injections and they don't last but two days. I also have artheritis in my left hand. What is a person to do? I thought workman comp insurance is suppose to help people, not put them in bad situations to loose everything we have. Does anyone have a comment? I haven't got an award yet either, i go back to second doctor tomorrow IME. what happens then?

Welcome to the forum and the world of WC. Sorry to say it seems most injuried worker get screwed around with. I understand where you are coming from and if you read other posts on here you will see allot of people lose wages and strugle with low or no pay for sometimes long periods of time. Mine for one cut my pay in April 2007 and I'm still fighting for that money. In your case it sounds like they had hoped they could deal with your problem in a short time and be done with it. Now it is going to run into more time and money so they are going to start playing their games in hopes this whole time just goes away. Good luck
