WC wants to change Dr AGAIN- Need your opinions!!!
I am in NM. At my last appointment I mentioned to my cm that I felt like my Doctor was kind of blowing me off when I ask some questions. I also said I guess I will have to be a little more pushy.
So my CM called yesterday and told me she had talked to the adjuster and they thought it would be in "my best interest" to see a different Doctor and they have one I could see. She said another Doctor could do an exam and "evaluate me." I told her I would think about it, and I wasn't sure thats what I want to do. BTW, I have seen only their Doctors so far (MANY of them). I asked him why I needed to be re-evaluated because we all ready know what is wrong with me. No real answer from her. Anyway, I would like your opinions on this. Think they are trying to pull something?

ahhhhhhhhh they could be trying to find a Doc that will pay more attention or they may be looking for someone to put you at MMI and off WC

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

The Dr. needs to evaluate you. He doesn't know what is wrong with you nor can he assume his role without a thorough history and physical let alone the question of does he even want to take on the headache of an problem comp claim/patient. It seems they are trying to pull a getting you better.

MY advice, be careful. With WC they will send you to their doctors because they are familiar with the way and manner in which some of these doctors work. I am not sure about your state but check into seeing if you are entitled to see a doctor of your own choice. Do not, I say do not just trust WC and I don't care what anyone thinks about that statement. I have seen what can happen to a person and it is not always a very nice situation. Just please be careful and good luck.

I agree MJC. I doubt they are looking out for my best interest. I just wanted to know if I was being too skeptical or if what I thought was what anyone here would think. I can choose my own Dr and may exercise that right later. Thanks for your input!
