RE: Another Epidural---Update
Tramadol is a mild opiate ( of sorts ) in that it binds to opiate receptors. All opiates are narcotics. Tramadol is not a controlled substance narcotic and there are many other examples of non-controlled substance opiates that do not need a prescription, such as certain codeine containing cough syrups that you just sign for at the pharmacy. Tramadol is not tested for on a DOT drug test and you may safely drive on it once acclimated to the drug but it may cause mild impairment when first taken.
Alos, you will not fail a DOT drug test if you have a valid prescription form your Dr. for the narcotic medication. Not that you should be driving, but you will have a positive lab report and a negative MRO report to the employer. |
