RE: Another Epidural---Update
Bronco,

Tramadol is not considered a low grade narcotic by insurance companies and even the medical community, it's kind of an odd drug. Even better, if you had your Dr. switch you to 200 or 300 mg Ultram ER it is a once a day Tramadol, slow release, so there is no impairment at all. It's very safe with far less side effects than what most people report on the regular Tramadol.

RE: Another Epidural---Update
Now Question.... I am not the type to take pain meds as a just in case I start to hurt. With that said would it be as effective like when I take 2 - 50 mg pills. Like when I was on time released oxxy, I found that taking vicodin hit it when I needed it..

Also My back where I recieved the injections is still sore when I lift my leg to get in my truck it feels like stabbing sharp & fast pain. Is this or has this happened to anyone else, It has been almost 1 week and the swelling is still there pt feels its from having that many injections at once, feels like a bad bruise and someone is poking it. But pt says no more excersizing just stretching until I hear from my pm DR...

RE: Another Epidural---Update
Tramadol Er does not take effect very fast as the 50 mg does, but it does not wear off for 24 hrs. They are used to different effect.

RE: Another Epidural---Update
The ER Cycler is Referring to Means Extended Release, Meaning that it Releases into Your System Slowly over Time. You May also be given a "Break Through" Med., which is Fast Acting when the ER is not Working during a Higher Pain Situation. My Methadone 10mg. is every 6 Hours, and My Main Pain Med., and I have Morphine Sulfate 30 mg. IR (Immediate Release) for The Spikes, or Breakthrough Pain. Even with Scripts, DOT would Never allow Me behind the Wheel with these Meds., they are too Mind and Perception Altering, and even if by Some Grace of God they did, I would Never take 70,000 lbs. Down the Highway with these Meds. in My System!! Even with All of that Said, I Physically couldn't even Drive Hook and Drop, too Much Movement, and Pain Associated with it!! Best of Luck, and Many More Years on the Road!!Wink

Interestingly Limbo, Only Methadone is an absolute no go for a medical DOT card. You are allowed to drive under physician supervision for other controlled substances and your drug test would be reported as negative to the employer if a valid prescription for all but methadone. Not to be recommended though.

RE: Another Epidural---Update
Understood Cycler, and Thanks for the Info.! Any Trucker that has any Resemblance of a Conscience at All would not Take the Meds. I Take and put 70,000lbs. on 18 Wheels and throw it into Traffic at 70mph! I could Kill More People in One Accident with that Truck as Probably are Killed with Guns in One Day!! But Trust Me, there are Drivers Out there that have More than I Take in Their System, so always Remember when Passing a Big Truck: "If You can't See the Driver's Face in Their Mirror, Right or Left, They can't See You!!" Be Careful out there Everyone!!Wink

RE: Another Epidural---Update
I believe all oxy is time released and doesn't help for breakthru pain. You have to take it when you are told because if you only take it when you feel more pain it will not help that much. I rememeber when I first started to take it they told me it takes up to 3 days to really get into your system and work the way it is suppose to
