RE: Back Door Gun Registration Bill
With all that is said I want to share somthing that has happened in my home town............... They are trying to pass a law here that youth hunting starts at the age of 10.... With some but few kids are responsable enough to be incharge of my fate or my family. In which I mean Like heck will I vote yes to let that happen.........

Now I was raised around guns and I was probably alot younger and was shooting the big guns.... But that was my family not every one has had the knowledge or the upbringing that I had. For some one that is a city slicker and only thinks of getting the big deer has no place in the woods along with other hunters. Saftey should always come first..............

RE: Back Door Gun Registration Bill
We have guns in our home that came from my Father and Father inlaw as well as hand guns I bought for my son. He was not allowed to have the guns with out his father or Grad fathers with him until he was 18 years old and knew the satey rules with them. He is very careful with his guns and never takes them out with any kids around. He does not have them resterested and have no plans to resterester them. I will not pay taxes on them either.

May God send his angels to hold you in his arms

I purchased my guns from a private party for a reason. I did not register them, nor do I ever plan on it. Uncle sam already spends to much time in my home.

RE: Back Door Gun Registration Bill
I grew up with guns as a kid, my dad was a big hunter, Bear, Deer, pheasant,Rabbit,Geese etc, and have cleaned my share of game, My x loved to Trap and Skeet, but I have none in my home. So will have no problem if they pass that tax. I have never liked guns, especially around children, have heard and seen too many horror stories. My opinion.

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass.
It's about learning to dance in the rain.

My Guns are Locked Safely, and about 4 Years ago, I Bought My Grandson Wyatt a Semi-Automatic Winchester .22 Rifle at an Estate Sale, not until I got Home did I Realize it was a 100th Anniversary Gun!! He hasn't even Held that Gun Yet, and won't Shoot it until His Mother and Father give Me Permission, and then I will take Him to the Gun Range at Our Hunting Club, and Show Him how to Use it Properly and Safely!! Safety and Responsibility have to be Learned when Dealing with Firearms, as My Dad told Me when I was Young, "A Word is Like a Bullet, Once Released, it can Never be taken Back, and the Damage is Done"!! It didn't make Sense to Me then, but as I Grew I came to Learn what that Meant, there's 2 Lessons in One Statement in that One!!Wink

Failed Back Surgery, Chronic Pain, Totally Disabled.

Knowledge is Power, Especially in the World of w/c. Learn as Much as You can about Your States w/c Laws, and don't Fight Battles alone, They Use Attorney's, and so Should You!!

RE: Back Door Gun Registration Bill
Tuffy... I understand your opinion. I don't like guns around children when the children are with parents who do not know how to respect a gun. A gun is not a play toy. I shot a 30 0 6 for the first time when I was 8 years old. From the beginning, the loud sound scared me, but my father carefully taught me how to use and how to respect a gun's built in safety features and why. He taught us that guns were for sport but mostly for living to put food on the table. He was raised that way. However, here on the east coast, at least in NJ...there is no place to use a gun wisely or for food. PA has places such as where Backache lives etc, but not NJ. Consequently I understand how you feel also becasue I do not see a reason for a child to be around a gun in this part of the country. They are not going to go hunting and there is just too much influence here that can negatively impact the outcome of a child with a gun in his or her hands. I see both sides very well... for me, however, it comes down to respect ... respect for life, respect for living, respect for a gun... allows the above to happen... I like your dad Still... those are smart words... Red

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.

RE: Back Door Gun Registration Bill
Was taking Daddy to the Doc today and asked him how he felt about it he said"I have no guns that I "need" to pay another tax on"....If you are taught from day one to respect others and your guns its a bit different...Life isnt a cartoon or tv show that they are shot one minute and get up safe and sound the next...Guns are to kill food and protection My kids are taught to never touch something that belongs to another and never touch a gun without an adult with you....course I dont buy toy guns either for my kids toy guns and candy cigarettes both are wrong in my opinion
