RE: Is this legal?
you two think its funny and I am glad we provide you a laugh....you wouldnt think it was funny if it was your life they were screwing up......Many on here cant even open the drapes for fear of being photographed and that isnt right.....if you are doing nothing wrong you should have the right to not have your photo taken in your own home or yard.....you should be able to walk your dog or go to the grocery store without being followed.....this is america

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

You need the photos to prove it ? <g>

Comp is what it is. Best advice is to wave and go about your normal routine. What you DON't hear about here is all the scammers surveillance helps to prosecute.

RE: Is this legal?
and I understand that to a point...but if I am in my home I should be assured of a bit of privacy.....there are others that live in my home who are not involved in a WC suit and they should be assured a measure of privacy also.....

RE: Is this legal?
I'm sorry, Jayne, but this is nuts. A helicopter constantly following someone walking their dog? In all my years in this industry I have never even heard of a helicopter being used in WC Surveillance. It's outrageously expensive to get a PI to sit in a car for hours. A helicopter would NEVER be approved.

Trust me. It ain't happening. He even makes mention of moving to a different area of the park, and laughing because they are over the old area "looking" for him. Hmmmm, perhaps they have another reason for being there, and he is not the object of their desire! If they are flying that low and circling him constantly then moving to another area of the park shouldn't be a problem.

The fact is, surveillance works. It catches liars and cheats, who are screwing the system and innocent injured workers, who have to deal with heightened suspicions because of other deceit. I agree with those who say, if you are within your restrictions, don't worry about it. When it comes to this topic, I am reminded of the old saying, "I think she doth protest too much".

"In the interest of peace, one should change their signature often"
(or when threatened by someone who packs heat) Smile

sshh... he didn't find the listening bugs in the garbage disposal yet.......

and Jayne I agree that there is unfortunate collateral involvement of bystanders but that much of fraud detected by surveillance methods does involve activities with others.

RE: Is this legal?
OMG. are you's serious? I have read this post when it was first started but have now read the complete posts. It's sounds bad that it could happen, but I'm itersted in the money that he made. Because that seems to be a bit expensive to do that kind of survalence/ spying. With all said and done I my self think he is just having a blast pulling every ones chain. Not saying there not watching him but a helicopter----- I doubt it.....

But now that I read this I have been having 2 Jets flying over every weekend I bet there watching me too........

RE: Is this legal?
As I have Mentioned Many Times, I have been to 15 Hearings so Far, the Appeals Process, and have been Followed Extensively, and not One Photo, or Minute of Film had Ever been Presented against Me. Point being, I am within My Restrictions, because I can't do anymore!! But it just Depends which Side of the w/c System You are on as to whether it is deemed Necessary, and/or Funny! Personally, I'm Glad Surveillance is Used to Catch the Frauds, but with the Extent I've been Followed, and the Vast Medical Evidence I have in My Favor, it gets a Bit Tedious and starts to Work on Me Psychologically after a while!! So for Me it's not too Funny, but on the Other Hand I See where it Actually Helps the System to Catch the Frauds, but All they are doing to Me Right Now is just Looking for that ONE Money Shot, to try and Destroy My Credibility, and that in My Opinion is a Stab in the Dark from a Desperate Defense Attorney!! Once You Live it, it's not so Funny Anymore!!Wink

Failed Back Surgery, Chronic Pain, Totally Disabled.

Knowledge is Power, Especially in the World of w/c. Learn as Much as You can about Your States w/c Laws, and don't Fight Battles alone, They Use Attorney's, and so Should You!!
