hours cut at work...

RE: hours cut at work...
thanks for all the information.
I took off work because I was in so much pain and could not hardly get out of bed, so I called in to work. I tried to find my own replacement, only one day no one would cover for me. I called in one other time because I needed to go back to WC doctor because the pain was not getting any better. I think my DON is just cutting my hours to get rid of me because with an injury they think I am a liability.
I have asked for the person's name that is covering my claim, and I can't get a straight answer. I would like to talk to them on the phone or through email, but my employer is being very standoffish and says that she is not sure who is in charge of my claim. How do I find this information out?
is it legal/fair for them to cut my hours just because I called in to work because of extreme pain?
thanks again for any input that you may have for me.
