want to go back to work

hi i have a workers comp claim in VA they denied my claim they did pay almost all of the hospital bills and therapy but denied the claim itself, went to the dr yesterday he said i cannot go back to work until further notice, he wants me to try cordozone shots and continue therapy, they put in a request to comp to pay for these, which i doubt they will approve, i have an appeal they have not set a date for this yet, i do have company insurance we are union, i have kept my insurance up since being off, i want to go back to work, i cant pay bills and if i dont go back soon i may lose my lose my home, can i use my insurance to have the things that needs to be done and then if i win my case have wc to reimburse me for the shots and therapy all i want to do is go back to work, its all i ever known is working i really getting depressed staying home.

if you use your health insurance the comp carrier will reimburse them not you.
yes, your health insurance should provide treatment denied by workers comp.

If I were you I would use your Health insurance, let them pay the bills. It wont help with wage payments but at least you will get the propper medical without the wait and hassle of not being covered. And then let wc and your ins figure out who owes who...........

Do you have any disablitity thru work? This could help with income while your off if WC is denying your claim right now. Hope something works out for you soon. But this is how alot of employer get out of paying WC, they deny it and hope they can force you to deal with the pain because they cut your income. The one thing to remember your health is the most important thing. I know its hard to deal with the loss of income and how to pay the bills but if you do things that cause more harm to your health what happens then? They hope you are not to bad and will just go to work and shutup about the whole thing. If you hurt yourself even more they are going to say you did it and they will not pay for that. Please take care of yourself

i havent recieved any pay since ive been off thats been since may, the day i left work to go to the hospital they payed me for the rest of the day and that was the last time my husband tells me to hang in their he can work overtime to pay the bills he said i wouldnt help anybody if i went back before the dr says im well enough he says they hope ill give up and just come back to work

Pansy, you might want to check with your employer about short term disability. If they have it you might qualify for it....my employer never told me about it and I was going thru my employee handbook and came across it. Went to the employer, got the paperwork, filled it out and collected short term disability until my claim was accepted by the Bureau of Worker's Compensation. I had to pay it back though once I started to collect TTD. As for using the medical insurance to cover your shots and all....yes, you should be able to do that. If and when your claim is accepted, the insurance company will have to be reimbursed. Are you going the appeal alone or do you have an attorney?

i have a laywer looking over my case i wont know until mon if she is going to take it. ive been off since may will they back up and pay me from the time i was hurt i know in my case you have to be off two weeks before it kicks in. and will that bother my wc claim, or will they tell be since i filled under wc i cant file short term disability,
