RE: Help
I believe bennett64 made the comment in his reply to burton.

I agree with Still in Limbo. The comment was in poor taste and totally uncalled for. This is a wonderful group of people.

RE: Help
Hi Kate!! I believe Bennett64 was Quoting Burton,s Prior Post Stating the "Black Ball" Statement, when Burton Replied to Bennett64. If I'm Incorrect I Apologize, but that Statement is surely One that is not True, nor Needed Here, and if this Person has any Decency at all, they would Apologize to these Good People!!Wink

RE: Help
This aint turning into a burton bash is it. Sometimes and it happens alot over the weekends there just is not many people on. But even if no one replies doesnt mean they wont get to it. I my self think this is a awsome forum and kinda a newfound family. With very suportive people who most would give there shirt of there back just to help out.

With this in mind BURTON I hope you were just having a bad day. And if you were just explain it. If you were just cutting down this site then dont come on here and ecxpect kindness...................Bronco

RE: Help
Not a Bash Bronco, just Calling Someone on a Very Bad Remark Made! I Answered Their Questions to the Best of My Ability, and I Believe it was Asked a While ago, it's on the Second Page. Sometimes Posts do get Slow on the Weekends, and Sometimes Answers aren't always Easily Arrived at, I know I have even Posted Threads without many Answers Given to Me, but it's not a Reason to make Bad statements Against this Site, and the Great People that are on it. So I think Your Second Paragraph Says it All, Explain or don't expect Help!!Wink

Still in Limbo Wrote:Burton, this is a Great Site with a Great ADMIN. Staff and People with a Wealth of Knowledge. I went Back and Re-Read Your Other Post, and You are Basically Asking if You can Quit Your Job and get Unemployment, and how to Fill Out Forms to get Paid for 8 Days Correct? Your Case seems to have Quite a Few Injuries in it over Time, and if Your Dr. Released You back to Work without Restrictions, and You Quit, I doubt Very Highly that You will get Unemployment, If You have Restrictions from a Dr.and Your Employer doesn't have Work to Accommodate You, and You are Out of the w/c System, then You May be able to Receive Unemployment. As far as Your Mediation Form, You are stating that You have Paperwork showing that You were Off 8 Days from both Your Employer and Your Dr., then Write on Your Form,"See Attached Letters from My Treating Dr. and My Employer!" There is no One who has Ever Been Black Balled by Using this Site, and if You have Spent any amount of Time Here you would know that this is not that kind of Site, and Saying that to Others is in Very Poor Taste in My Book!! You have Many things going on in Your Life Right now, not Only Physically but also Emotionally, and at Your Age, with Your Issues, I would think You would be a Perfect Candidate fro SSDI, have You even Tried to Apply for that?? I Hope I have Answered Your Questions, and I think You Owe the ADMIN. of this Site and the Good People that Use it an Apology, Your Post about Black Balling is Totally Out of Line, and Uncalled for!! Have a Great Day!!Rolleyes

I know if I applied for SSDI I would probably get it. I just can't afford to be off work for a year and pay my bills also. Don't you have to be without a job for a certain amount of time to receive SSDI?

I can understand how one would be disappointed. Workers comp is full of frustrations like that and now it's repeated by injured workers to others in a similiar situation and who should know better.

I can only offer what i posted before

Who peed in your cheerios 1171....there are lots of answers here but we all need patience when waiting for one........I could give all kinds of advice but if I dont know the answer I try to welcome them and say someone will be along soon........sooner or later someone comes along that can answer their question they may not like the answer but it is an answer.......since I have quite a bit on my plate right now I have no idea why my name was even brought up in this thread.......most likely from another thread.......but no matter

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: Help
You only have to be off of work and unable to return to any gainful employment. Of course, medical records and Dr's must show why you can't work. If you apply, contact all of your Dr's and let them know that you have applied so that they can write letters to SSDI in your favor.

While you are waiting to hear on SSDI, apply for SSI and medicaid. With no income, you should have no problem getting them.

I am currently waiting on SSI to call me, as I have just applied for SSDI, and am currently on a very low fixed income under $950 for a 2 person household. I do currently receive some foodstamps, but would love to be able to get on medicaid, as I can't afford my cobra, and can't get private insurance. I need something so that I can start going back and seeing my three Dr's that have been assisting me for over 2 years now.

I've always been crazy, but it keeps me from going insane.

RE: Help
Burton, I'm going by Memory, but You have to be Off of Work for 6 Mos., and have Medical Documentation that You May be Off a Year or More. I think that Explanation or Apology would be a Nice Gesture Burton, it's Well Overdue. We All have Jumped and made Stress Related Statements at One Time or another, it's to be expected when a Group such as Ours are in Pain, and getting the Run Around, but as a Great Group, We try and be Civil and Explain a Bad Day or Statement. So Unless I See One, My Opinion Only, this will be My Last Post to You! Best of Luck in Your Travels, and I Hope All Goes Well!!Wink

Jayne, I think 1171 is refering to Burtons original "mediation help" thread where you were the only person to reply with the traditional "I don't know, but someone who does will be along soon."The rest of us just were'nt soon enough for Burton. No harm, No foul on your part Jayne!!!
