Impairment Income Benefits equal 70 percent of your average weekly wage (AWW). There is a state maximum or impairment income benefits just as there is for TIBs. The maximum for IIBs is 70 percent of the state AWW. currently it's $525.

RE: lawyers 25%
Hi Blue! I'm in Pa., and not in Texas, but Here there MUST be a "Contingency Agreement" Signed between the Attorney and the Injured Worker, Clearly Spelling out Percentages and Fees, and Must be on File with the Bureau of Workers Comp., mine was given to and Approved by the Hearings Judge when I had My First Hearing with My Attorney Representing Me. I would have to Guess that there is Some system of Control over these Fees in Your State, Mine Clearly Stated a 20% Fee on any Monies Won by My Attorney, 20% of any Settlement Monies, and NO Fees whatsoever Charged to Me, Win or Lose! Do You Remember signing any type of Agreement when You Retained Your Attorney??Wink
