Hi folks, I hope everyone is well today. Let me run down my Meds. for you, they haven't been changed in a while, and recently I have had ringing in my ears that is actually driving me crazy!!
MS Contin ER- 200mg. every 8 hrs. Neurontin 600mg.- every 8 hrs., 1200mg. at bedtime. Klonopin 1mg.- at bedtime to help with sleep MS Contin IR- 30mg. as needed for breakthrough. Promethyzine- 25mg. every 8hrs. for nausea. Lactulose 30mg.- once daily for constipation. Has anyone had this problem? The ringing in my ears seems to be getting louder, it started out sounding like crickets and now is a steady ringing. Any thoughts or assistance would be greatly appreciated and Thanks in advance for any replies!

RE: Excessive Ringing in My Ears!
Still...The only thing I can say is...My 98 year old Grandmother called me a few weeks ago because she woke up with this aweful ringing in her ears...and when we got her to the doctors office her blood pressure was high. Once the Dr. got her blood pressure down the ringing went away. Just a thought for you. Hope you get the ringing to go away...that just has to be driving you nuts. Spring
Yes...I have a 98 year Grandma...still lives in her own home..drives. And only has high blood pressure. Loves to fish..play bingo..and gamble. Would still dance if her knees would let her. Heck..she is in better shape then me. LOL |

RE: Excessive Ringing in My Ears!
Limbo, I never had it like you have, but I have in the past where it lasted a few days and went away. For me and you, I don't know why, but I found some good information on it from Mayo Clinic. I got all the side effects..ringing in ears, constipation, headaches etc so it must be from that! |

RE: Excessive Ringing in My Ears!
Mine comes and goes so I know how you feel and at times it can be quite loud and annoying.
I suppose that what I have done is just learn to deal with it. We sleep with the tv on at night so we try to mask the noise. |

RE: Excessive Ringing in My Ears!
Ringing in the ears can be from many different things, a medical condition, meds, High blood pressure, an ear infection, even allergies. It would be best to check with your Dr, Or it could just be a simple thing like excessive ear wax build up. Tuffy
