Been OutOf The Loop
Sunday my daughter was rushed to the ER, only to end up in surgrey for her appendix. I have been stuck at the hospital for the last few days, as my wife had to work and she would not let me leave my daughter alone. Now she is 23yrs old. But got her home last night and she is resting today, in some pain tho. She is missing a college final that was yesterday, but will get to make it up later this week.
We found out there is a God out there looking after her. 10 months ago my health insurance dropped her from my coverage as she turned 23, she is in college and can not afford health insurance. She will complete she second degree in 9 weeks. Hopefully find a job and get some benefits. Her degrees Bachelor of since in Diatetics and not willl complete a Bachelor of since in Nursing. She wants to work in a childrens hospital. Anyways had no idea how she or us would pay for this surgrey and all the bills that go with it. I was so worried over it. Before we left the hospital to bring he home yesterday some lady from the finance office came in and had her some papers to fill out to get some help. Only to find out that the help is going to cover all the expenses for the surgrey and all of it. She told her that she would fix it so what ever help this is from will cover her for 1 year. God we were blessed yesterday. Not to mention that this lady aslo knows someone at the local childrens hospital that she is going to put my daughter in touch with for a job after Aug. graduation. I told my daughter that things happen for a reason in life. That this must of happend to her for he future in life. We all realized that we were blessed and that God will take care of her. Cervical Fusion 2003, c5-c6. Herniated and damaged Disc L1- L4-L5 S1. Lumbar Spinal Cord stimulator implant 09-2008. Cervical ACDF revision with hardware c4-c5-c6-c7 Sept 2009. SSDI approved 3-2010. NOW OFFICIALY RETIRED |

wtg CF we have the same deal here with Rebecca......our insurance dropped her when she turned 23 and she still has to go to collage for 2 more years to get her masters.....however we did find out if she qualifies for grants and work study she automatically gets food stamps wish we had known that 2 years ago
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone.You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life,you have come out ahead of the game.....

Glad to hear things are going as well as can be.

Cervical, when We seem to be at Our Worst, with that Dark Cloud over Our Heads, God will take away that Cloud and Bring the Sunshine!! I am so Glad Your Daughter is Well, and I will Pray She gets that Job!!!
Failed Back Surgery, Chronic Pain, Totally Disabled. Knowledge is Power, Especially in the World of w/c. Learn as Much as You can about Your States w/c Laws, and don't Fight Battles alone, They Use Attorney's, and so Should You!! |
