Cool Who will be watching or going to the Race this weekend?
Pocono 500 is Sunday, I was just wondering, if you watch it, go to it, or have a favorite driver?

Lets talk.....Tongue

RE: Who will be watching or going to the Race this weekend?
Sorry Bad Boy, I don't Follow Auto Racing! I Used to Drive My Best Friend Crazy, He Loves Nascar, and I told Him I get Tired of Watching Cars go Around Left Hand Turns For Miles!!Tongue That Used to Really get Him Fired Up, because I would Ask: "How Hard is it to Make Left Hand Turns All Day, there's No Skill in that!!" I know Better, but it Used to Drive Him Nuts!!Smile

Well, these people that race, are millionaires. Not bad for making left hand turns for 500 miles, LMAO. But, there is a major skill, and also, lets not forget, it is also a job. And a job that creates many other jobs. I've been on both sides of the racing fence too. Hey, in fact I use to race Dirt tracks...Cool

RE: Who will be watching or going to the Race this weekend?
I know it's a Very Skilled Sport, I just Loved to Drive Him Crazy!!Tongue We Used to have a Dirt Track about 5 Miles from My Home, and at the End of the Races, they would Allow Us to Race One Lap, the Winner Staying on the Track until All Comers have Raced, and the Last One Standing got a Street Class Trophy, 1/2 of the Total Street Class Entry Money and a Kiss from Miss Motor Drome!! I never got that Kiss, but I Sure Tried. I Used to Race My 69 SS Chevelle, 396, 325 Horse, No Power Steering, with G60's on the Front and M50's on the Rear!! That Track was so Chewed Up before We got to take Our Street Cars on, and they didn't Re-Drag the Track, and with No Power Steering I never got the Speed Up to Win! There was a Guy that Raced His 68 Camaro, and was Crazy, and Usually Won, because He didn't Care if He Messed Up His Car, He Had Money!! It Sure was Fun Though, All You had to Have back then was a Motorcycle Helmet, $5.00, and a Seat Belt, and You could Run Street Class! What a Great Time and Great Memories to Look Back on!!Smile

My Dr. will be racing the Daytona 250 next week and raced a Porsche GT3 in the 24 Hr at Daytona last while spending local weekends at the dirt track in modifieds. I race a Lotus Elise in autocross as I can't risk a full scale crash with other cars these days. Surprisingly the seats don't bother my back at all.

But NASCAR ? no thanks.....
