Smile Update - MRI on Shoulder
Hello to my Forum Family,

I have not been able to post lately as I have been having login problems and had to get administration to get me back up and running. I thank them for their help.

I maintained a copy of my MRI report. It states I have Severe Biceps Tendinosis. I saw PT yesterday for my eval for therapy. He said I have a bad case of it and I will be a challenging patient. He asked if I had seen an Orthopedic doctor yet and that answer was no but if PT does not get the job done I will be heading there. This is different from Tendinitis in the manner that Tendinosis is chronic and not an acute case. I really have been suffering with this for about 4 years now but with the back and neck problems I never focused on this arm pain. Although when it started way back then I did have some cortisone injections and trigger point injections and recently hs 2 more cortisone injections. The problem is no doctor ever did a study to see what was really causing the pain. Now the study has been done and I know what is going on. They seem to believe it is from the over compensating the use of that arm from the neck and back surgeries when I had to depend on my arms so much and still do. For now I have to rest my arm, using a sling and ice it 3 times a day. My PT therapist is sending his eval report to WC and I am waiting on the approval for him to actually start therapy.

That is it for now and I will keep my extended family posted as I know more. For now I will be trying to rest this arm to try and get some of the inflamation down.

I hope this finds all of you doing well........or as best you can be. Happy 4th of July to everyone and hope you all have a day free from pain with a bit of enjoyment. Take care everyone and God Bless all of you.

RE: Update - MRI on Shoulder

MJC.....Thanks for the update. I do feel for you. I have had bicipial tendonitis for more years than I can count. It is one of the most painful things you can imagine. Takes time to heal, if it ever does totally. My best help in dealing with it was the ice and rest. You;re right. When we compensate with another part of the body due to pain or injuries somewhere else we create a real mess for ourselves. Please my friend, be careful, nurse it. PT has made me worse and toren up every other bad part I have. Take it slow and easy with this. It can heal with the right treatment. Glad you got answers. Not glad about what it is.

Hi MJC,
So sorry to hear that you are still having problems and bad pain. I hope it lets up for you, and PT is fruitful....not harmful.
