job loss and settlement
Hi, I
am from Oregon and have had a accident where I tripped over a curb. I broke my left femur and workmans comp has so far paid my bills and I am healing good.. I went back to work on light duty.they have nonthing for me to do but I must go. when I was in the hospital and at home they told me they would train me on dispatch and phones...I have been there for a month and they have not. just put me on jobs that are crap. the things is I am ready to move on' I have to heal first and am healing good. but I got pulminary emobius while in the hospital...does any body have a clue what I should expect as far as a settlement and the next thing is can they fire me... it was an onthe job injury but on a parking lot not owned byt the company...any info is good...thanks.....S |

RE: job loss and settlement
settlement? there may not be a settlement......if you get back to 100% and able to work there most likely will not be a settlement..WC is for medical and lost wages....and your job is safe for 12 weeks then yes they can let you go
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....
