RE: WHY AMERICA 'S ECONOMY FELL OFF THE CLIFF
All I know is that the so call Bail Outs are not helping my family at all.
When my husbands employer cut out overtime we started hurting, $200.00 a week. Now we are looking at surgery and WC pay, for atleast 3 weeks which we all know will not be payed on time. So we came up with a plan, sold the 4 wheeler for emergance $$$. Have a money plan in place, we are grateful that employer is being helpful! I think that our Goverment is so out of touch with the working ppl, and it is out of control. My thoughts are that we all have to work together to make Our Country A Good Place To Be! Lot's Of Love! RE: WHY AMERICA 'S ECONOMY FELL OFF THE CLIFF
I think that this need to have it now is the result of the kinds of TV shows we all grew up watching. For instance, "leave it to Beaver, or Father knows best, or any other show from that time frame. They all had a nice home and everything was in its place and PERFECT. These families were happy. Did we by any chance begin to think that to be happy our homes had to be just so and right now, or that we had to dress just so and right now, or any number of things that we saw on TV. I am not sure...I am just talking and really never gave this any thought until now. Something I read on this thread triggered this line of thought and I need to think on it more in terms of how it has affected me and the way I have lived my life. Then combine this with accessible credit most of us walked on a path towards disaster. Recently we moved from our home. It had nothing to do with ARMS, high interest, owing more than it is worth etc. It had to do with loosing more than 50% of our income when I quit working which was followed with in 6 months, Del quit working. Then a few things contributed to it such as making bad decisions about moving etc etc etc. All in all... it has nothing to do with the recession unless you contribute the recession to Del's inability to find a job after he graduated from college. The property taxes here in NJ are amazing. I paid just under $12,000.00 a year. That is just under a $1000.00 a month. utility bills sky rocketed out here also. Where I use to pay about $600.00 a month...my last year bills average greater than a $1000.00 a month. All of these issues contribute to changes in how we live our lives. However, we have been in recessions before, such as the late 70's early 80's and we came out of it. Someone said we have to all work together on this one, and I believe that is true. We do have to change some of our habits and continue to work together for the good of society. I don't know exactly what that means, but I am hoping that someone does. Hopefully our President will be just that person, maybe yes, maybe no....waiting to see. Red

Red we will be OK we are americans we have fought all our history we will continue to fight......our fight now is agaisnt greed.......when a item can be made in japan for 1/4 of what it cost here then something is wrong.....are we asking to be paid to much? or is it a combo of wanting it all and using credit to pay for it?Even our bloody goverment lives on credit.....Till we all learn to live on less than what we make we are in trouble
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: WHY AMERICA 'S ECONOMY FELL OFF THE CLIFF
Just a Footnote: If China were to Ask for All of the Money the U.S has Borrowed Back Tomorrow, We would Have a Chinese Dictator in the White House to Answer to!! Does Anyone even Imagine how Much Money Former Pres. Bush Borrowed from China for the War in Iraq?? And Where to You think the Bail-Out Monies are Coming From?? We had Better think Hard about Our Future for Our Children and Grandchildren!!
