Insanity in Ohio
I have a VocRehab case that is a soap opera at best. The rep first assigned to case canceled on myself the day before the meeting, called the next morning to see if I was going to canceled meeting, and then put in his report I had non-related work injury stoppping me from working, which the injury he described was the allowed condition. So after a week of phones calls to see why he wrote this, was given a new rep. It took this rep a month to get a plan in, which had to call her supervisor to force a plan in. She didn't return any calls made to her from MCO or myself.
After the plan was in,VocRehab made an issue with my doc prescribing PT 2x a week when their guildlines say you have to be in it 3x a week. Like the doc said it's a generic prescription for PT it only takes a phone call from rep to change. Rep never responded why call was placed so late. So now this rep sets me up at a PT place that can only take me two days a week, when they had a problem with 2 in the first place! I called EVERYONE involved to let them know of this 2 days a week, MCO and VocRehab said it wasn't a problem! LOLOLOLOL! My injury flared up and therapist literally kicked myself outta therapy with a note in my hand telling the doctor to send myself to treatment that I was just in Sept 08. Injury occurs every 6-8 weeks depending on level of activity in that time frame and regardless of therapy, btw VERY WELL DOCUMENTED IN PT,AQUATIC therapy, and FCE reports. Have a lawyer and understands what he says but during this they leave you compensationless while they all get paid to do a halfass job and have ZERO accountibility for their obvious mistakes. HELP!!!!!!!! |

RE: Insanity in Ohio
welcome to our world believe me when I tell you I have heard your story hundreds of times in my 5 or so years on here.....now I will tell you what I would do because as you say all those you deal with get their check each week so they dont care about you.....Call and email your congressman and reps...document every time you so much as try to call anyone connected to your case keep a copy of all medical records and a time and phone log...send all to your congressman and reps...while there isnt a whole lot they force the IC to do...when there is gross malpractice they can and do get involved.....sometimes just your IC knowing your congressman is staying involved will make them make sure you are being taken care of and not screwed with.....
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: Insanity in Ohio
I'm not clear what you are looking for?
some form of Non-legal and non-governmental help from a message board? like private charities, foundations, NGO groups for workers comp? |
