RE: Vicodin & Opium based medications
Cycler, for some strange reason, I have always been able to shut down the use of these Pain Medications (narcotics) with little problems. I guess I'm one of the very lucky ones then. I just do it mentally.

Now this isn't the very first time I have slowed down and stopped Pain Medications neither, as I have done this a few times before. I still remember to this day, the very first time I had to do it, and yes, I was forced off them. I had the shakes for a year. Meaning my hands had the shimmy's going on. But, it did end after about a year. I was able to handle it, and wasn't requesting any Pain Medications either.

Now listen, here is something I am just amazed about.

As I said, I stopped the Vicodin, and it took a few days and I was getting better. (Phase #1) Then I waited a few more days and done (Phase #2) to prove to myself it truly was the Vicodin. And I woke up with back pain, to the point of saying I would now need Pain Medication for it. I sweated it out so to speak, didn't take any, just sat around at my keyboard and drank coffee. 12:00 Noon, went to the washroom, and to my almost surprise the pain had gone away.

I lived those months of hell for what? OMG I'm in shocked over this. And shocked that so many may be encountering this very same problem, and will never, ever know it.
