The ortho sent me to physical therapy for the braces.

A physical therapist fitted them.

I see the ortho in 2 weeks, he mentioned a cortizone shot.
Okay with me, maybe I can get some rest.

Here is the type of thumb spica that they put me in after I had surgery on my right hand back in 2003/2004.

it really helped me. I was able to wear it at night when I went to bed, and would take it off in the morning while getting ready for work and while I drove to work. Then I would put it on before I started working for the day. I helps to keep your hand, wrist and thumb in proper alignment.
