RE: this is how it happens
You are sooo right sithie. I watch my husband go through this everyday. He has some days where I don't even know if he knows that I am talking to him. It is very discouraging to a person who has worked hard for a company and then to be hurt and suddenly treated like a criminal. It is even worse when work is where we build our self esteem and image. However, work is not who we are, it is not what our values are built upon, it is not a living viable something that loves us, it is simple a place where people come together so that they can care for what is important to them. People's greatest assets are their families. I have found on this board, that we are a family. That the care each and every one gives to the other is often more than we may experience on a daily basis from our real families. Each person here understands your feelings and can relate to your thoughts. As stated by many, you have value beyond your imagination. The kind words you have offered reach to the many. Daily someone on this forum writes something that touches me and helps me to grow in understanding, love, and compassion. You have been one of those family members. Keep your head up. Think of all the good you have done here on the board and remember that a job is only about providing for a family and not who you are.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.

RE: this is how it happens
Hey Sithie ~ Even though I've been away for awhile I know from personal experience how valued and loved you are on this forum alone. We are all good people who got kicked in the pants...we all just need to be reminded of that occasionally. You are NOT invaluable, nor are you less of a person because you cannot work. You are a very intelligent, caring and wonderful person who is in a great deal of pain which really messes with one's mind. Please try to keep your mind occupied with wonderful, positive thoughts. We are here for you as you have always been for us. I hope you will feel better soon.

Hugs and prayers to you,
Monster
