This H1N1 Flu is a Reality, but I Personally think the Media is taking this Way to the Extreme!! It's Great to let Us know about it, that's Their Job, but Chasing Down Every Case, and Scaring the He** out of Everyone is going a Bit Far, My Opinion Only. This Flu will Spread, and Closing Schools in High Probability Areas such as around the Texas Border is Great and will Help slow the Spread, Our Children are Our Greatest Asset, and should be Protected at All Costs. I just think it getting way too Much Air Time on the Major Networks, and Causing Undue Stress!Wink

Iam not changing my plans, We are on our way to Florida...... I agree it is all a matter of common sense, The medical pro.s have been yelling good hand washing from day one and for years. The best way to prevent spread of many things. And good old Soap and Water is the best...........

They have shut down 2 schools in my area because of flu outbreakes. They are being tested for the swine flu at this time. In one case the person had been to Mexico recently. Our Governor is not taking any chances. The schools at this time have been sent out letters to sanitize the schools so this is in process at this time also. I tell you what, the flu I have been suffering from is really bad. I am still continuing to run a low grade fever on and off and all I want to do is sleep. I still have the cough and just feel like crap. I pray all of you are not suffering from this flu and that you are having as much of a pain free day as possible. God Bless all of you.

I'm not going to let this stop me from getting out and doing what I need to do, such as today with my trip to the DFW Metroplex area. if I'm going to get it, it will probably come from closer to home, since Randy is a school teacher and they tend to bring home whatever is floating around the schools.

And I am certainly not going to lock myself in the house in an attempt to stay away from it. I am not panicking and running to get masks and purell (we already have enough of that here at home). Randy's mom finds the neatest things for our stocking stuffers at Christmas, and the past 3 years, I have always gotten a little purse sized purell that looks like a large pen in mine. So, I carry that in my purse, 24/7 and never have to worry about catching much of anything if I have to use a public bathroom, which I avoid like the plague anyway.

I agree, I am not going to stay in the house. If I am going to get it it will most lkiely come from the dialysis unit as some one is always sick around there and a lot of the patient live in nursing homes so they bring in every gem in town.

May God send his angels to hold you in his arms

Yes....I have been putting off my blood draw because I want to steer clear of the hospital waiting rooms, and all the stuff sick people touch...then I touch it and catch something! But I'm not going to change my life and habits because of it. Wash, wash, wash those hands!
Now if it were to start quickly spreading....I will hibernate, believe me...I have an artificial heart valve and a severe murmur.....something the Swine flu would most likely love to settle in! Yikes

yesterday while at wally world I picked up some of those handy dandy purell pens....and a can of lysol.....when we were small I remember my mom thought VD could be spread by sitting on the same toilets as someone with VD.......we never got to use a public toilet till she sprayed the hell outs it.......

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile
