settlement
I just finished, after four and a half long years, of fighting with my ex-employer and "won" a settlement. How long does it take to get your money in SC after your attorney receives your check and has you sign paper work to get your part.

RE: settlement
I don't know about NC, but in Nevada, I had my check in hand the minute that my attorney received the check. He called me up, I went to his office and he had cut me a check off of his firms account for the amount owed me after he took out his fees. I went three blocks down the road and literally walked out with cash in my hand.
