thank you but around the 3rd is the big day...........it is my daddys birthday and we all come together and celebrate...my daughter is here with her 3 my son with his 2 and then we still have 4 at home 2 of my daughters and their families cant make it............I will fix ribs,potato salad a fresh salad and slice mounds of tomatoes and cukes..........cook off some fresh green beans and of course corn on the cob.........................we will all swim and eat and top it off with a huge cake and homemade icecream..............all will play and fight and make memories then we set off fireworks and end the nite..........with a magic watermelon....those of you with small children get a yellow meat melon.but dont tell the kids its yellow put that big ol melon up on the table gather the kids and tell em a story about a magic melon( make it up) and then have em help you turn this red melon yellow with a small incantation and end with turn this melon the color of the moon tap three times and cut that baby open the faces of the kids are priceless...............even the older ones always ask for a magic melon for papas birthday dinner even tho they now know its a story...............have a safe holiday all........and sing a song for my daddy he will be 95 tomorrow

around here we let the 4 slide on by hubbies mom died on the 4 and my mom and sister in law died on the 28 of june fireworks are banned here this year no ones able to go skinnie dippin either my babie girl can bake some baby backs just may send her to the meat market and you got me wanting cheesecake

Thanks Tuffy for the 4 th of July wishes Shhh...I may get up on my roof with new camera and tripod to see if I can get any cool pics. If you guys don't hear from me afterwards then you know I fell off. As long as I land on my head all will be well, lol

Sweet - you poor thing. I am so sorry, I hope you will one day be able to enjoy the 4th again. I do know what you mean though. My very best friend died on my BD about 5 years ago. He was one to celebrate life though, so even though I rarely drink anymore I try to always have one for him on that day.

Monster, I referring to how old Jayne's Daddy will be.

My husband will be 50 this week and my oldest son 20 on July 5th.

Going to have family over for sloppy joes & birthday cake tonight then watch the

professional fireworks show my neighbor on the hill puts on.

We stay on our deck and watch the show, my neighbor has about 250 people at his place

for dinner & the show. Lots of open space in the country.
