How unusual is this?
I had my hand crushed about 2 years ago developed RSD. Hand was rated at 89%, comp was ok with this plus future medical. The company I work for has been great never missed a check, they even paid for some treatments WC would not pay for. Comp nurse helped me really well never had a problem with her became a good friend a she helped me get good Dr's.

Sounds like I had a better than average experience. WC sent my records to IC to be approved IC lost first set even though they signed for them. Now I get a letter back from IC that wants detailed job description, update on if my job has been modified and description of accommodations made and update on whether i have difficulty working with restrictions.

My questions is this normal they have about 1500 pages of records from Dr's and Comp nurses notes OT notes. My hand is pretty much useless. It seems if they would have more than enough Information. I'm not sure why they are interested in this the company has gone out of the to change my job so I can continue to work. I work in North Carolina.

Thanks

RE: How unusual is this?
sounds like the stuff they want are not the stuff that doctors provide.
sounds like stuff they would need to provide job modifications.

RE: How unusual is this?
Thanks 1171 although I have not missed a check the rating money will help with things like work around the house that I usually did myself that I can no longer do. This site has helped me understand my own problems and many others that could sure use some heip from a system that seems to have lots of flaws.

Thanks

hi lock,

Consider yourself, one of the lucky ones...as far as WC and job treatment goes. Possibly they are looking out for your future in the workforce, making sure the work restrictions are being adhered to....in order to cause you no further injury problems. I'm glad for you that you received a great case manager who truely has helped you heal and get back to work! i can only wish that all the other's on here had gotten her too!

It is also NOT uncommon for these places to lose your med records & info.
Take care, LillySmile

Injured worker, & tired of it all! I'm too old for games!!

A careless word may kindle strife, a cruel word may wreck a life, a timely word may level stress, and a loving word may heal and bless!
