Technically, the toolbar is a monitoring service, albeit an innocuous one. That monitoring function will flag spyware warnings from some software. On a related note, we have one person in our office who insisted on trying AVG. He is also the only one whose machine has had viral infections. I am not impressed with it.

I am on IE8 and have never had a problem downloading anything before. Maybe Alexa is running somewhere in the back ground and I just need to find out where. Will do it in the morning. For now it is time for my glass of wine, 5 equate PM pain relievers and beddy bye.

My AVG has kept me from getting virus's that other spy-ware and anti-virus programs have missed. I run all of them, first thing in the morning before I ever start surfing the net. The one virus that I got last year, was prior to me down loading AVG. I won't run my computer now without it.

I have AVG along with Adware, and have had no problem Mine says it is downloaded but no tool bar....Maybe it is hiding back there somewhere.!
