RE: Hair loss
Hi Sithie,
First let's talk about the RSD hair issue. You know that one of the first signs of RSD is fast growing hair. Then over time no hair growth on the affected area. Or very slow growth. I have no hair growth on my arms or legs. Dr's say that is from the RSD. Sithie the Dr. did tell me he has never seen all the hair fall out of a person due to RSD...so that is good for us. And I don't have to shave my legs....and thats good. Where the hair don't grow on my arms doesn't bother me. Used to have very thick, medium to long blonde hair on head. But it is starting to fall out more and more. When I wash or brush it lots of hair coming out. When I when I spoke to the Dr. he didn't say to much...told me to not worry to much if I was continuing to grow hair on head and under arms. It don't seem to be thinning out on my head in one certain area...just lots in drain and brush. So just maybe with me taking the topamax may be the cause of my hair falling out on my head. I have been on topamax for awhile now. I am headed to that post now. |

RE: Hair loss
Can somebody please tell me what RSD is because I seem to have a lot of the symptoms. Is it caused from injury or is it like a genetic thing. Sorry to sound stupid, everyone is always saying RSD this and that but I've not ever seen what it stands for.
Thanks

RE: Hair loss
I have a white strip that goes right down the center of the top of my head. When my hair is down I pretty much look like Peppy le Pew!!! When it's pulled back it just looks like highlights, lol. Don't go there guys...I earned all this grey and i'm keeping it...well at least for now anyways!
What's RSD, pretty please??? Please click the link below to help provide food for homeless animals. It's free and only takes a second of your time! RE: Hair loss
I'm not sure of your age Spring, and I dare wouldn't ask, but my Sister-in-Law in her early Forties was dealing with a lot of stress and that caused her hair to come out in clumps!! I guess it was part of early menopause along with the stress that caused it because it corrected itself and she's fine now! Just something to think about!!!
