Prayers Needed Please!!!

[Still in Limbo]

I just Heard from Backache, as You may Remember, Dave's Daughter Shan may have had Thyroid Cancer, and Backache has just let Me know that they did Remove 1/2 of the Thyroid, and Cancer was Found, they now have to Remove the Other Half, and Dave is in Ohio with Shan, and Backache had to Stay Back, and has been keeping the Phone Line Open waiting for News!! Let's Please Pray for them and their Daughter, these Folks are Special People, down to Earth and as Honest as the Day is Long, and they need Our Help!! Poor Backache had to Stay Back as too Much was going on Here so Any Comfort We can Send through Prayer would Surely be Appreciated!! In these Tough Times in this World, with everything seeming to be Turning Inside Out, and Stress so High, and then to have a Child in Jeopardy Health Wise has to be about as Scary as I could think!! Thanks Everyone, I know the Replies will be Great, these Folks Opened Up Their Home for Us when We were at the Castle, and Treated Us as if We were Life Long Friends, and they Need Our Help Now!!

First, thank you for informing us of this information. You know I will definately be praying for backache and Dave but first and foremost their daughter. This is really sad news to hear regarding one of our forum families loved one. Prayers will be going up very rapidly for Shan and the family. Please keep us informed as you get more news. Still Thanks and I love you and Ellen for letting everyone know about Shan. crying.....because whenever I need help you guys are here for me. Thanks to all of you for your prayers they are much needed. If you remember last summer Shan's Mom died of lung cancer and she never smoked or was around anything that should have caused it, she was 61. Shans gram died at 58 from having a mole removed from her neck, it went into the lymph nodes, she had a lump on the inside of her arm when she was 18 that was cancer. Her Great gram died at about 46 years old from cancer, so we are scared to death for her. The worse thing about it is she had a test that only the Cleveland clinic does to detect thyroid cancer and it came back negative. When the surgeon removed the right side of the thyroid she found that 2 lymph nodes had shown up where they were not suppose to be by the thyroid. This is where they found the cancer. I know it sounds strange , but we were praying if she had to have cancer it was papillary thyroid cancer since it is 95 % curable. When the lymph nodes became involved it put the fear of God in us, because we thought it was in the lymph nodes and then she was in extreme danger. The surgeon removed the other half of the thyroid today and she said it was clean, but would have develpoed cancer in the future. Shan is in ICU but seems to be doing fine for now. The only thing she is worried about is if something happens to her how her husband would raise the 5 kids. I thank each and everyone of you for your prayers and please pray for her husband and children so Mom gets home soon. Love you guys. Backache
