RE: Update
Cap - I bet you damaged the collar bone somehow - maybe stretched it ...... and believe it or not that can cause the lump ........ the CT scan will show it - also an x-ray will show it - mine did even 6 months after the initial injury because it still wasn't totally back in place - and that is on both sides by the way. - I think my old wc ortho called it internal disarrangement of some sort - basically if you stretch the ligaments in the collar bone you can get a lump on the shoulder like what your talking about.

But then like bad boy pointed out was how it happened. In my case a dislocation that was put back into place 3 months later - so even before they took x-rays of the shoulder they knew there was problems. Also severe tendonitis can cause swelling in some people - so lots of things - but the CT scan will tell - and at least it is quick and easy test. I think mine took all of 5 minutes the last one I had done of the shoulder.

RE: Update
Ok Cap, as I see the process of elmination is working, and I'm so happy there are no clots. Step 1 done. Now give me a X-ray of the lower Cervical Sine and I will tell you. LOL, guess my Doctor's and Surgeon taught me to well. But hey, a Blind eyed dog, will see if the Top Rib is out. And yes, it shows in a simple X-ray.

RE: Update
Big Grin

I'm so glad I have all of you.

Pooh....Now that makes sense to me when I think of the snap I felt when she pulled my arm. It didn't hurt but I felt something move or fall apart from something else. I would say i felt it in the upper pec region or possibly even the collar bone. My collar bone is so tender I swear it has a hair line in it and that the bone itlsef is larger than the other side. If I'm not mistaken the collar bone and the acromium meet. And since I had the tip of the acromium taken off, makes sense. Maybe she pulled them apart more and now I have a pool of fluid in there. LIGAMENTS!!!! OMG. The pain in the ligament of the pec muscle right as it hits the arm and then it sort of goes under my arm towards the armpit is the most tender spot on my body. Had this before surgery.

Badboy....it's all going to happen I guess in it's own time. I am hoping Tuesday the surgeon at least x-tays the area in his office. Depending on his feelings and recommendations I'll take it from there. CT scan will be done one way or the other as I really believe there is something wrong. Maybe soft tissue but all the same somethng isn't right. It appears this morning that the swelling over the collar bone is slightly smaller BUT I might be wishful thinking. Hubbby thinks it looks smaller and it seems to be fleshier than hard now Maybe the Mobic is killing some of the  swelling and inflammation. It starts at the trap muscle and goues around the base of my neck almost like a collar and ends right before you hit my throat. rides directly around where the neck meets the shoulder and around front. Help any? Don't know if they'll do any tests of my cervical spine as I have 2 MRI's that are pretty clear what's going on there. The side of my neck hurts (soft tissue) but the spine itself is doing pretty good. No more headaches thank God.

RE: Update
Hi Limbo

Thee Lord is good.

I had a biopsy ( the last of my test) about a month ago, and received the pathology report a few weeks ago, all cancer free.

It was very emotional for me going through the test thinking do I have cancer and how do I tell my kids and my husband?

To deal with other medical issues & work comp issues at the same time can be stressful!

Best Wishes Limbo!
