RE: AMA 6TH EDITION
thankx Boy.
i guess the regulars should jump in for the newbies until they get with the program and post their state if/when they notice it's not being done.

"The Medical Guidelines Advisory Committee is currently working on impairment guidelines."
http://www.wcb.state.ny.us/WCBReformReport.pdf

They have not released their recommendation and there has been no official ruling on any of their recommendations.
http://www.wcb.state.ny.us/content/main/...pdates.jsp

new york still has it's own impairment guides and doesn't use any of the AMA guides

1171 Wrote:blake is also ignoring the need for posters to identify their state.
you'll get no accurrate information without identifying your state.
after posting 42 times you should have it in your user profile so we don't have to ask everytime.
not only that but you shouldn't hijack another's thread.
it's ok to start your own.
there are a lot of lurkers out there who'll be very confused if we all post on the same thread.

Sorry People....I did'nt mention that I'm in..... Illinois
and to my knowledge Illinois will start using the 5th Edition starting April 1st

Jett, so I am from Illinois. And since when is a Rating going to affect you or anyone here?

Please display you findings on such information for Illinois, for I am set to recieve any news and updates to Illinois Work Comp System changes and I have yet to see one on use of the AMA.

RE: AMA 6TH EDITION
Jett, I have all the Illinois Board numbers and such.

Since you work for the Post Office it just may be that their going to do that for Goverment, Federal, and State employee's. For I have no information on the Public Setor working injured as of date.

Just what are they telling you, and why are they telling you this information may I ask?

But, being a Postal worker, you fall into the Federal Acts and not the State of Illinois Act.
