Pissed Off
I got a phone call from my lawyer late yesterday afternoon that the 2nd opinion appt. with the orthopedic WC wanted me to see today. She was pissed also at the fact when she asked me if I had ever seen this doctor before. I told her no....never. She could not understand how I am 9 years into this claim and they want to send me to a doctor that has been no where into the picture. I told her I could not understand that either since all my 2nd opinions were given by a neurosurgeon for past surgeries. She wondered why they were not using this neurosurgeon and were sending me to an ortho instead who is not of the same rating at the neurosurgeon. She said she was just going to have to be a bitch and call my adjuster to question this and call the ortho to question his credentials and insist they send me back to the neuro that has previously been on my case for the past 9 years. Get this, my new appt. with this quack is scheduled for Apr. 28th......we were both pissed at that. I think the 60 days they are allowed by law will expire on Apr. 3rd which will put them in violation of not rending a decision in the time allowed by law. I plan to call my lawyer to ask her about that situation. I may be mistaken and it might be 90 days for them to render their decision so I am not sure about that and I want to bring this to my lawyers attention. I feel certain that when my kawyer speaks to my adjuster she will be getting back in touch with me regarding the doctors involved for my 2nd opinion. Oh well, I will just continue to sit here and rot away until they get this crap straight. Thanks for allowing me to vent as I am quite pissed about all this crap. My love to all of you.

Vent Away MJC, with All You are having to Deal with, You Deserve a Shoulder to Lean on, and that's what this Forum is, One Big Shoulder!!!
 You have been Kind Enough to Listen to Me and Many Others Vent on Here, so You Deserve Your Turn!! You seem to have a Very Good Attorney that Actually Cares about You and Your Case, and if She can do Anything About it, She will!! My Attorney made it Very Clear to Me Quite a Few Times, it's Hard as He** to do, with All that w/c puts Us through, but He Told Me to Worry about Getting Better, (Or in My Case, Relieving My Pain), I Pay Him to Worry and Handle W/C!!! He's been Great at it, and so has Your Attorney, so I'm Sure You will be O.K.!!I'm More Worried about You Meeting Jayne, Believe Me MJC, I Love Her to Death, but what a Hand Full!!!  Seriously, the 2 of You will get along Great, and She has a Great Husband and Family! Enjoy Your Visit!!

Their defense will be, the appointment was made, and the delay in the decision, was because of the delay in the appointment.

I received a call from my lawyer telling me she spoke with my adjuster about the bringing in of a new doctor for my 2nd opinion. She objected to this and she notified me yesterday that the adjuster will be making me an appt. with the neurosurgeon that has been rendering the 2nd opinions for my past surgeries. Therefore, my lawyer accomplished what she intended to accomplish and I am awaiting my new appt. date for 2nd opinion with original neurosugeon that gave previous opinions for WC.

Great News MJC!!! It's Good to See that Your Attorney could make this Right, as I've Said Many Times, Good Attorney's are Worth Their Weight in Gold when things get Complicated on Our Cases! Congratulations!!

Limbo, You have been such a great friend and a wonderful source of support for me and everyone else on this forum. You are so greatly appreciated and you have so many problems yourself you just always take the time to think of others. Thanks so much for being my friend. Lilly, I have enjoyed my java but things continue to happen on my end that sends me back in turmoil. See my thread titled,,,,Prayers needed for my friend.
