My Surprise!
I wanted to let all of my forum family that I will be a grandmother. My youngest son's girlfriend is expecting in September. I am so excited to have a grandchild from my own blood. I have 4 other ones but it is from my sweeties children. Although I am delighted I had to voice my dislikes about the situation of this happening. I guess you could say I am from the old school. My son is not married to this girl but they have been in a relationship for about a year now. My son is 28 and she is 27. I am just praying that things will work out for them. She also has a 4 year old boy and he is adorable. My son is so attached to her son as the son is attached to my son also. I am just so excited......a grandbaby. What is there not to love about that? You know the old saying when God takes a loved one he replaces it with another. Well, I feel like this is the life God is giving us to replace my Mother. What a special baby this will be....I can't wait. God Bless all of you.

you are so right a grandbaby is one of Gods truest blessings no matter how it got here.....start now Grandma or whatever you choose to be called I am a nana and get that baby some toys and clothes and blankets oh and a crib oh mercy I envy you....congrats on a true blessing from God.....

congrats to you. I'm hope I wont be a grandparent for a long time my sons only 15. I just keep telling him he has his whole life in front of him and to go play while you can.

MJC, I am so happy for you, Grand children are a gift, and as with all children should be cherished. I have only one and will never have others so you know how I feel. Spoil them, That is what grandparents are for. LOL

Thanks to all the people who have responded to my wonderful news. I more I read your comments the more excited I get.
Jayne, You are so right, we give them what they are worth to us. I have already starting buying a couple of things. Since we don't know the sex yet I bought a yellow and green romper that says, What happens at Grandma's stays at Grandma's and a green and yellow bib that matches and it says, I love my Grandma. This is going to be so much fun. My son laughed when I told him what I had bought. I asked him what was so funny. His reply was, It's your grandbaby......buy what you want. I just loved it when he said that. A wonderful gift from God and a special one for me is what I am getting. I already saw the first ultra sound and I was talking out loud to my computer screen saying.....look at my baby.....this is my baby. I really had to laugh at myself. God Bless all of you and thanks again for being so excited for me. I remember the first ultrasound of a Grandbaby I went to I just started crying and couldnt stop........and all the goodies they have for babies now is just awesome have a blast
