Sorry you are alone, injuries are very hard when you have family I cant imagine doing it alone...I do not know the laws of your state someone will come along soon to help you.....welcome
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

it will be very difficult to move out of the country and still get your insurance benefits. You will have to see a doctor regularly for treatment and they will have to send reports. You may have to travel back to california to see a doctor chosen by the insurance company. you should talk to your doctor and your employer before you move.

You may want to interview several certified WC lawyers in your area/state too....just to see what your rights are. Just phone them, explain situation, and ask questions...see what they advise. There is normally no charge when talking to lawyer on phone...they get their payment %, only if/when they get you money, if you were to sign on with them.
Good Luck, glad your family is now with you! Lilly

But if doctor says thar "you must come 2 months later" then should i go to turkey just 2 months? is it possible for health insuarance? or should i get permission them? |

RE: please help me,when i was working ankle was broken
Hello!
i broke my ankle in Feb 2008 at work. You are lucky that your brother could come, as caring for your self at this time, alone, would be no fun at all!! Do not know how bad your injury is, but travel is not an option. You will be non-weight bearing for at least 2 months possibly as long as 5 as I was, which pretty much means sitting on your butt and hobbling with crutches! You are at risk for blood clots and other inflammation, which would be aggravated by a long plane ride. I was advised no long car rides either. You will need to keep your leg elevated above your heart most of the day. I visited Doctor every 2 weeks for first month and half then every 4 weeks once I had an aircast and all stitches and staples were out. Did not start formal PT until 3rd month. Did have PT come to my home and make sure I could maneuver around safely. I hope an attorney gives you the assistance you need. Good luck to you! If you have any ankle questions, I would be happy to try and help! Good site for exercises, once you can move a bit. http://www.mckinley.uiuc.edu/Handouts/an...prain.html This discussion board is a bit old, but the posts will give you an idea of what to expect. Take Care, and keep that leg up high! |

there is nothing wrong with traveling as long as it doesn't interrupt your treatment or delay them getting information on your condition.
