At this point in your claim, I would wait on hiring an attorney. It sounds as if you haven't had a lot of problems getting things taken care of as of this time.

Get your surgery and start therapy. Although they say 3 months recovery, it could be shorter or longer, depending upon how your shoulder reacts to the surgery and therapy and if there are no complications from either or both. If, after both, there are problems with the IC or WC, then would be the time to look for an attorney. All will do a 1st time consult for free, and won't if you hire them, won't get a dime, unless you receive a settlement. Just be careful of the percent that they want to take you claim. In Nevada they can get up to 33 1/3 of your settlement plus expenses.

If you are in Vegas or nearby, I can recommend a very good law firm (the one that helped me with my claim). They were very good at getting back to me, and I had a paralegal I could email and would generally hear back from within 1 to 2 hours, unless I sent the email in the middle of the night as I was wont to do as I didn't sleep much at that time. When they helped me get my voc rehab after claim was settled, they didn't ask for anything over what they had already been paid, so I kept all of that money.
