sparkey Wrote:How does losing weight help your arm get better? What is the diagnosis? They also should not just stop your meds without tapering down on them first. I would get a second opinion. Didn't you mention you go to pain management? If so, how come they are not controlling your pain levels? There is something wrong with this picture and I would call your lawyer and tell them what is going on now with the discontinuation of your medications. I have dequrveins diese in my wrist, it is now popping and swelling. in my elbow they already did surrgery on it, The tendons were torn in half. And I can no longer straighten my arm at all. I can get it to a 30 degrees. Sorry about the spelling. |

jayne Wrote:what is wrong with this picture is MONEY this poster cannot pay the medical bills and since he/she is at MMI in some states that means wc wont either and the Doctors wont work for free.... I can pay the bills if I had to. I do have regular insurance. And w/c does pay medical after MMI here in florida. W/C is the one that said I could not see the sugern, not the sugern. I talked to him today and he is gonna see me and talk to the new PM so things stay how they are suppose to. But thank you for your help. |

way to go as for the driving so far away with the meds your on ask your Doc if you should be driving he may take you off driving for now
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

Hi, I also believed one could not be forced to work beyond a reasonable mileage of a 50 mile radius....please ask your lawyer about this, as I feel it's ridiculous, and simply a tactic by your employer to get you to quit & go on your way....which is BULL!
As Still has said....fight for your rights, and let your lawyer handle talking to all these a-hole people ! Lilly

RE: on w/c for 10 months
Your Attorney has to Contact w/c with the New Report, and if They don't Re-Start Your Checks, the Next Step would be to File a Petition to Review Medical Evidence, or a Petition to Review and Re-Instate Benefits. Maybe Both. Hopefully the w/c Adjuster will Work with Your Attorney and get You Started Again! My Best to You,and Please Keep Us Informed!!

RE: on w/c for 10 months
could go either way; depends a lot on the doctor's credibility and the details of your case. the carrier usually follows the recommendation of a doctor of their choosing. since the pain doctor really wasn't their choice it's difficult to predict their decision.

RE: on w/c for 10 months
Just wanted to give an update to all that have helped me. My attornery has filed an appeal to get my checks restarted and for wc to pay his wages now. Wc is not wanteing to pay for my meds and giving me a hard time. The case worker that wc hired has actually been on my side and is helping me with my lawyer. She is the only one i am allowed to talk to since she has helped my lawyer with many things. Well thank you all that have helped I will keep ya posted.

RE: on w/c for 10 months
I was given permanent restrictions and with those restictions(no lifting over 10lbs) I could not work at the job I was injured at.I had ask the human resource manager if there was any work within the co. that I could do with my restrictions and they said there wasnt. So I applied for U E and got it.I emailed my states workforce and let them know what was going on before I filed so they knew the situation with my restictions also I sent my x-employer the doctors permanent restictions. So I am willing able and ready to work but it has to be a job that doesnt require lifting over 10lbs.Not sure if this helps but good luck to you!
